On August 29th, 2024, DES Secondary School commemorated National Sports Day with great zeal and enthusiasm to honor the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The day served as a reminder of the importance of sports in shaping a healthy and disciplined lifestyle among students.

• Tug-of-War Competition for Std. 5th to 7th:
  Students from the 5th to 7th grades participated in an inter-house tug-of-war competition. The event was marked by intense enthusiasm as each house team showcased their strength, coordination, and unity. The field echoed with cheers and encouragement from classmates and teachers alike, making the competition a thrilling spectacle.
• Carrom Competition for Std. 8th to 10th:
  For the senior students of 8th to 10th grades, a carrom competition was organized. The calm yet competitive atmosphere brought a perfect balance to the day’s high-energy events.
